So proud of our soldiers!

What a great day for America!  Finally, after nearly 10 years, our military special forces have located and killed the man who was the mastermind of the September 11th 2001 attacks on the US. 

We were sitting in my parent's living room enjoying some family time when Brian saw the news on his phone.  Within minutes the news was all over TV and the internet and Facebook was going crazy with victory cheers.  The details are still fuzzy, but it looks as though he is truly gone!

I am not one to get political on the blog, but the death of Osama bin Laden is a HUGE moment for us as a nation.  9/11 is the most significant thing that has happened to our country in my lifetime and I am sure will continue to be even as years go by.  I am truly so thankful for the sacrifices of each and every member of our military and their families that freely and willingly give up so much so that we can now sleep a little more soundly.  Just thinking of the courage that takes brings proud tears to my eyes.
