Tahoe/ Idaho part six: In Reverse and Reno.

We didn't get as early of a start on the drive back to Tahoe, but knew what to expect so we fueled up on snacks and coffee before leaving Idaho. Left around 7:00 am California time, and ended up back in Tahoe around 3:30. With a few stops in between we made great time.

Wednesday was Reno day. John and my Dad try to get to Hot August Nights (classic car show) in Reno each year. My Mom was flying from Cincinnati to meet us in Reno and my Grandma enjoys the slot machines. Once I picked my Mom up, the girlies, her, and I all ended up shopping until dinner time.

Another annual thing for us is to have dinner at the Nugget buffet in Reno each year. This year we thought Wednesday would be a good day to go because it would be less busy. WRONG! The line was exceptionally long, but we found out it was due to the car show participants having free dinner tickets only good for that night. This worked out in our favor when people had extra tickets they shared. Out of the seven of us we only had to pay for two meals...score!
