Tahoe/ Idaho part five: Having fun!

Saturday we headed to the downtown Boise Farmer's Market. The kids had a BLAST in the water fountain! What is more fun than getting soaking wet on a hot day? Luckily they dried pretty quickly.

Sunday we spent some time at John's Aunt's home going through some old boxes of his that had been stored in her attic. We found many boxes of old baseball cards, some baby items that had been his, and some great cast iron skillets! Kathy even found some beautiful afghans John's Grandmother had made and let me pick one to take home! We ate lunch at 'The Viking' (an old drive in burger place) and had scotch and soda, which was sprite, vanilla, and lemon...yum! John had remembered this place from spending his summers in Boise as a kid and was happy to find it just the way he remembered.

Monday we spent time with John's cousin Laura and her family. We had a picnic lunch in the park and took a little nature walk. It must have tired the kiddos out because they crashed the second we drove away, so John and I spent time driving around Boise. We even stopped at The Viking again for a scotch and soda and some 'gems' - their version of tater tots.
