Christmas - Wrap Up

Christmas eve is really our Christmas.  It is our time of togetherness and family.  I think my Dad thinks that Christmas is still Christmas becasue we have our BIG meal then... but for me it is the day before.  We have special traditions with my parents, Grandma, and sister (and this year Brian!).  We share the gifts we have gotten for each other and read The Night Before Christmas.  It is relaxed and fun.

On Christmas morning we have bleena- a German beer pancake- and open 'Santa' gifts.  We usually spend the rest of the day playing with our new goodies and preparing dinner.  We have low-key holidays, mainly because we don't have to shuttle to different houses or fit in different parts of our family.  I have to admit, it is pretty nice.

This year I wasn't a shutter-bug.  The below shots are really all I have, but it is enough.  I took some video of the kids singing and enjoying their gifts but I really wanted to take the time to enjoy everything without, as my Husband so lovingly puts it, 'living in a documentary'.

Merry Christmas 2010!!

Looks like a great relaxing time! I hope Regan's dog is OK?
