Sometimes

I feel like I SHOULD post something.

So, I go searching though my brain, looking for something blog-worthy. While I am sure there are many fun events to share sitting on the memory card of my camera, I am sadly without some fun quirky story about us in the past few days and not in the mood for a download.

Then, I think to all the things I have not blogged about, but meant to. (i.e. Hannah's birthday, which I have been putting off. Living in denial that she is actually five.) Nope, there is nothing there I want to write about right now.

So, here we sit.

Then I get the bright idea that I should write about me. What have I been up to?
Working.
Yeah, I am no longer allowed to consider myself a stay-at-home-Mom.
I am a working Mom.
However, I am still able to do things like work in Hannah's Preschool classroom or take her to dance class. I am still (mostly) able to have dinner with my family and spend evenings reading books, giving baths, and 'saying the prayers'. And I am so very thankful.
I am thankful for a Mom that so unselfishly gives of her afternoons so that I can go out to do my work.
I am thankful for God's perfect timing and provision in finding a job for me when it was needed.
I am thankful for a Husband that works so hard, so that someday I might be able to again join the ranks of the stay-at-home-Moms.
I am thankful for a job that fits my crazy obsession. Crazy.

You know what is funny? I am so much more productive to our household when I am working. I am so much more efficient when I am busy.
This is the terrible logic: if I have all day to do something, then I have ALL day to do it.
If I have 20 minutes to do that same thing, then I HAVE to do it in 20 minutes.
For this reason, I am not very good at being a stay-at-home-Mom.

OK. Rambling over. This is what you get when I want to post but have no real motivation :)

Totally understand the "Productive when time is short" thing! And coupon cutting? Saved us close to $100 last month! :) I'm learning but I feel like I should go to Walgreen's with you sometime to really get the ropes down...
