It is funny to me that the older I get, the more simple things excite me. Maybe it has to do with having kids and seeing things through their eyes, or maybe it is a deep appreciation for every teenie-tiny detail of life that God has created. Either way, I am genuinely excited this year as spring has sprung. Our backyard is starting to develop nicely, showing beautiful signs of life as we reap the rewards of (John's) hard work.
I can remember as a child my Dad took us out one year to follow the blossom trail. In my 10-year old (or so) mind I remember vividly thinking it was bo-o-o-ring. Now, I think I would love it! Funny how that happens.
Here is a branch from our flowering plum tree. I love seeing these little flowers pop up. :)

Because I missed saying it last Saturday, I will say it now. Welcome Spring! I am so glad you are here!

Too funny...I was thinking the same thing the other day! I, too remember my mom and dad taking us down the Blossom Trail and thinking it was boring!
