Candy Cane Lane and Santa, the third annual

This was the third year we did Candy Cane Lane in Clovis with the Castiglione's. The first year we made the effort to pack all of us in the van and go to Christmas Tree Lane in Fresno. While the lights were great, we wanted more...so we ended up at the Peach and Alluvial neighborhood. (Which, coincidentally is where John used to live) Since then, it has been on the "must do" list of yearly traditions.
Last year we planned to walk the lane. Great idea in theory. But, planning a walk in the cold before dinner with a 1-1/2 year old isn't ideal. You can see last year's post here. Still, with Santa being out there, we decided to do it again.
This year the plan was to try to replicate the timing of last year. We did. Just as we were walking by the house where Santa was the garage door opens, and Santa was sitting there ready for us! Talk about luck! We were first in line! All of the kiddos were so happy to see Santa, except Julia, but she did tolerate him. Also, this year we happened to go on an evening that wasn't too terribly cold... definitely a good thing! As always, the lights were amazing. So glad we were able to enjoy our night.
We are missing me and Claire and Ethan in this photo.

I still LOVE this tree, and every year they have real snow all over their lawn... so fun!

Never mind her hat hair, she was excited to see Santa!

The best Santa photo ever! She asked for a Snow White dress and long-sleeved dresses. Love that she asks for clothes!
