Hannah: 4 Years, 7 months
Where to start with Hannah right now? She is involved, and loving every minute of it! She has preschool two days a week, dance for 2 hours another day, and is finishing soccer this coming weekend. She also enjoys art club a few times a month.
She is (and has always been) a very sharp cookie. We have been working some on reading, which she is getting and loving. Writing is also high on our list, and she is doing well, except for the darned "X" and "K" confision as well as mixing up "V" and "Y". We have been working on counting to 100 and adding 2 digit numbers with one digit numbers. Yesterday she mastered the concept of any number plus 0 is that number. I confirmed this by asking, "What is one hundred million bazillion plus zero?" To which she answered, "Whatever you just said, Mom it is THAT number!" She and I just finished our first American Girl story (Kirsten) and plan on starting up the next one tonight. She loves, loves, loves her art projects and has become quite good at drawing people and flowers under the sun. She even askes her fair share of questions about God and Jesus, many times with very thoughtful logic and an understanding of faith well beyond her four years. I feel pretty badly that we had to put cubbies on hold for the year... maybe we can start up again soon.
At her four year check up back in April she was a perfect square, meaning she weighed 45 pounds and was 45 inches. (Yes, at four she is a mere three inches shy of FOUR FEET!!!) I am sure she has grown since then. She is a few inches taller than everyone in her preschool class and looks like she could be six. We look forward to the days when she will be the star basketball, volleyball player, or swimmer due to her fabulous height!
What else can I say? She is a wonderful girl! Hardly in trouble, a big help, and a very patient sister. She is shy, yet can be outgoing once she has warmed up to any situation. She has several close friends with whom she enjoys mostly playing dress-up or "pet owner" and is learning how to be a good friend.
I am so blessed to have her for my Daughter!
