Beach Getaway

I don't know why, but I was getting the itch to sit on the beach.  Just go and sit and FEEL the warm sun and the cool breeze, SMELL the salty air, and HEAR the waves crashing.  So, the girls and I played hookie from our routine and went. 
It was probably a bad idea though because we had a wonderful time and I am afraid I will want to do this more often.  :-) 
A last minute hotel reservation scored us a perfect (majorly discounted!) room with an ocean view and easy access to the pool where the girls and I swam for the first time this year. 
I let them choose almost everything we did, where we ate, and what types of shops we went to.  I honestly didn't have an agenda so I was open to their ideas. 
We ate our continental breakfast this morning overlooking the ocean, did a little shopping, then headed back home.  It was a perfect mid-week pick-me-up. 
Now it is back to life, back to reality...
