Her teacher (Hi Christy!) shared this sweet song with the class, which I had never heard before. What a great way to incorporate the blossoms we can enjoy for a few weeks here in with preschool curriculum!
"I looked out the window, and what did I see,
Popcorn popping on the apricot tree.
Spring has brought me such a nice surprise,
Blossoms popping right before my eyes.
I can take an armful and make a treat,
A popcorn ball that would smell so sweet.
It wasn't really so, but it seemed to be,
Popcorn popping on the apricot tree."
It just so happened that I took Claire out to take some photos in the blossoms just yesterday! Talk about perfect timing and reinforced learning :-) "I looked out the window, and what did I see,
Popcorn popping on the apricot tree.
Spring has brought me such a nice surprise,
Blossoms popping right before my eyes.
I can take an armful and make a treat,
A popcorn ball that would smell so sweet.
