Claire's preschool is a semi-co-op. This means that the parents take turns helping in the classroom. I was scheduled to work for the last week of school before Christmas break. I loved that I was able to see what all they had been doing everyday and to monitor her progress a little. Claire isn't the most outgoing of kids, unless she knows you well, and I have been a little concerned that she might not be making many friends. Thankfully, she has made a few friends but I noticed that most of the kids are still sort-of trying to figure it all out. Unless they know each other outside of the preschool, they all seemed to play just as happily alone as they did in a group.
Anyhow, the last day before break the fun activity was to decorate and eat their own sugar cookie...YUM! It was cute to see all the cookies...some covered in a mountain of sprinkles and some just barely sprinkled.
They also practiced their Christmas songs/rhymes, read some stories, and finished up their Christmas crafts.
Every time I work in the class I am reminded and humbled by teachers, they have more patience than I have on my best days as a parent...and they have to do this (almost) everyday!
