Life, Love, and the Pursuit of Happiness

Have I ever mentioned how hard it is to be an adult sometimes?  I look at my girls and see the things they worry about and I feel so very blessed.  My kids are able to be kids.  They, for the most part, don't have to worry about much of anything. With that being said though, I do want them to see John and I deal with life as it comes and understand that it isn't always easy to make the decisions that we do.   We can only pray for guidance and peace to make the best decisions we know how to, given the circumstances we are in.

For the time being, we have made yet another tough decision for me to quit my "extra" job and pursue motherhood and photography more full-time.  This is a HUGE leap of faith, however I feel very peaceful about this decision and the fact that it is what is best for my family at this point in time. If we are really honest with ourselves too, the extra job was really only providing us with the "extras" that we can live without.

The other day I asked Hannah how she felt about stopping one of her activities for awhile so we could save some money, and which she would decide to postpone for the time being.

She thought for a very long time.  And finally said, "Mom, these kinds of decisions are tough."

Kiddo- I couldn't agree more.

That does sound like a tough choice Whit. But if you feel a peace, God's blessings are sure to follow! Good luck in expanding your photography business!

I have to admit, I borrowed your idea for my 2011 prices-the New Mom Package-allowing for several photo shoots for the milestones...Right as I read that, I was called by a family that wanted to do just that in the spring. PERFECT! Hope you don't mind a copy cat on that one.:)
