A full weekend...

I love busy weekends... almost as much as I like lazy weekends!! : ) This weekend ended up being a pretty busy one, but that is part of the fun.
Thursday night started the festivities with a wonderful evening Fresno Grizzlies game! This was our second outing to see the Grizzlies play this year. This time we joined the Castiglione family. This kids had fun searching for Parker, the team mascot, and sharing a bag of cotton candy. Brooke and I enjoyed the opportunity to catch up with the happenings of the past week. And the guys enjoyed a pretty eventful game with two Grizzly home runs and a final winning score of 5-3!!! (Unfortunately I have no photos)

On Friday morning the girls, the Debbas family, and I headed out to Wild Water Adventures. We had FREE tickets from a Monday Madness Grizzly game earlier this year. Kristen packed a lunch, and we spent a few hours in the kiddie area as well as venturing over to the wave pool. I knew Hannah would LOVE the water park, it was her first time there, but I was skeptical about Claire. The funniest thing is that she had the most fun of all the girls! She would have spent the rest of the day climbing the steps and going down the slides if I would have let her. I think we will spring for the season passes next year, as the park is so close to our house, and the girls are getting to an age where I think they can really take advantage of a lot of what it has to offer.

Next up was an evening of theater, the Friday night presentation of Beauty and the Beast by Clovis' Centerstage Productions. While the show was absolutely FANTASTIC, the girls were exausted by the time it was over. Hannah was enthralled with the performance, was on the edge of her seat for most of the time, and kept leaning over to ask, "the beast is pretend, right?"
My good friend Heather was a part of the cast, she played Babette (the feather duster!) and did an AMAZING job. Hannah had a hard time understanding that it was Heather "pretending" to be a part. Like I said above, the girls were tired so we could hardly get a smile out of them... I guess it was 10:30 so I should cut them some slack : )
And here the girls are with Belle. We had gone to the Clovis Farmer's Market beforehand so they all had butterflies on their foreheads.
Then on Saturday evening we attended the BEAUTIFUL wedding of Kristin and Jarrod TAKEMOTO!!! Wonderful ceremony, good food, great company, you could feel the love. Kristin is a forever friend, she was a fabulous roommate, she was a beautiful Bride, and I am so happy for her and Jarrod and to be included in their day.
So... all this and we spent a few hours swimming on Saturday, attended a birthday party this morning, and worked all afternoon today... geez when I list it all out, we need a nice long nap tomorrow!
