Toddler speak is a funny thing. The words and phrases they pick up are just too cute. In the past few days Claire has picked up on someone (I don't think it is Hannah, but I could be wrong) saying "right Mom?" after everything.
"That is my bannie (banana), right Mom?"
"Daddy's at work, right Mom?"
"I swim like Hannah, right Mom?"
Also, if she isn't saying that AFTER her phrases, she says "I don't know" BEFORE all of her phrases. Only, it is pushed into one word "I-ont-no". The funny thing about that one is that she usually says it before the an answer that she does actually know.
Me: "Claire, do you want an apple?"
Claire: "I-ont-no... yes"
So incredibly funny! And while the latter of the two is more of a bad habit, I find myself letting it go and not correcting her because I know how quickly they change and grow and soon she will have another new quirk or manorism that will make these a thing of the past. So, as her speech continues to develop, stay tuned for more "Claire speak". :)
