Hannah has LOVED the story of Cinderella since she could understand what a book was. I have a video of her from her being just over two having memorized the story and 'reading' it to herself. I think we might have over ten different copies/ variations of the Cinderella story in our house for one reason or another. So we read Cinderella...and we play Cinderella... and we discuss Cinderella...

Another favorite are the Berenstain Bears. I have the entire collection from when I was young, and John has a collection from when he was young. I do have to pick and choose the right stories and be sure they are age appropriate, but both girls ask (well Claire just demands) that we read these books to them. I will note that there are a few parenting strategies that Mama and Papa Bear use that I wouldn't, but most of these were written in the late 70's and early 80's so I cut them a little slack.
And, this is a new favorite. Fancy Nancy! Hannah received these books as Christmas gifts and requests they be her bedtime story every night. They are so cute! Nancy is a young girl that likes dressing fancy, using fancy words, and decorating her room in a fancy way. She tries to get her family to be fancy too. Check them out at the library if you ever get a chance.
Tell me, tell me... what books are your favorites?

Justus' fav is his Wall E book that has the buttons with noise. He loves to have me read it to him. Haven really likes Moo Baa La La La Sandra Boynton book. Its really cute.
We have several favourites - one is called Mrs Wishy Washy's Farm, a NZ author. Our 5 yo got this for her 1st birthday and we read it so many times that DH and I can still recite it from memory four years later. We also love a book called The Glass Heart, which we had to order from the UK because it doesn't seem to be for sale here in the US. Has a strong princess theme :)We also read the Beatrix Potter books A LOT. We got the complete set for Christmas in 2007 and they are all amazing. The girls read them over and over and act out the stories. Excellent investment.
