Games

Today John and I realized that Hannah was in need of some attention.

It is hard to be almost four and a big sister sometimes, and I could just tell she could really benefit from some good alone time with us. We put Claire to bed, then I picked out two Hannah games and I suprised her by asking if she would play with me. The look on her face melted my heart. She was smiling from ear to ear that Mom was going to play with her and she didn't even have to ask! Then, when John asked if he could play too... well you couldn't wipe the smile off her face :)

Princess Memory was first... and she completely wiped the floor with us. Seriously, she was GOOD at it! I think I had 4 matches, John had like 6, and she had 10... it was awesome! Second was Chutes and Ladders. She won there too, but it was pure luck. :) It is so fun that she is at an age where she is understanding how to play games and take turns.

John and I both made a mental note to do this more often. Sometimes I get so wrapped up in the daily routine that I forget to take a minute to enjoy the fun stuff!
