This week

One reason I wanted to start blogging was to keep a journal of sorts of what the kids do. I was so good about writing down everything they did for each of their first years, then I sort of just stopped. I always think I will remember when this or that happened, and I never really do. So, I am making a resolution to myself, and those that read this, to write more about what my children are up to. Now, I am not going to say that these updates will be all that exciting, but I would like to try for the sake of remembering.
So, Hannah has been really interested in numbers this week. She asks us every day how old we are and has been saying things like, "Mom, 3 and 3 is 6!", all week. I do think she understands what she is saying when she stops to think about it, but sometimes she just guesses at an answer and it is pretty cute! What else... oh, she has a new determination to use the potty alone and to put on clothes herself. This is HUGE for Hannah because she has never really shown interest, and to tell the truth I am no encouragement when it comes to things I can get done faster than her.
And in Claire news... well Claire loves climbing and nodding this week. She understands things we ask her and either nods yes or shakes her head no. This is such a help and has relieved some of the frustration that goes along with a toddler that knows what she wants, but can't speak. And a Mom that wants to get that thing, but can't tell what it is. It seems to have alleviated some of her shrieking, yay! She also loves the climbing. She finds the stool in each room and just stands on it. She climbs on the fireplace and just sits. Knock on wood, but she has yet to fall. I guess one of my children had to be daring.
