July Fourth

John and I think our favorite holiday is the Fourth of July. There is just something great about this time of year; the food, the laziness, the fireworks, the water activities, and knowing there is still a few good months of summer left. Yesterday we spent the day at my parent's house with my Dad and Grandma. For some reason we didn't hop in the pool, but played in the sprinkler and with lawn darts instead. We had ribs for dinner, which we don't have very often, so they were a treat!

We left around 8:15 or so and both kids fell asleep in the car... we thought we would head over to Buchanan to see if we could watch some fireworks from the car. We found a good spot and I even got to take some pictures!! Some of them turned out pretty good!

Unfortunately, when we got home our refridgerator was broken. Thank goodness we found it when we did, otherwise we would have had a real mess. So, we will be living without a fridge for a few days...until we can get someone over to determine if we need a new one or not. That is our second appliance to go out since we have moved back. Ick!
