I have managed to get both kids in bed, John is out of town, and I am able to be uninterrupted on the computer. Okay, I have no clue what exactly to do. This could be a five-minute thing or an all-night thing. Yay!
I guess I should start with Tinkerbell and the Peas. So fun! So cute! Both girls did well this Halloween. We went to downtown Paso where Hannah had a blast trick-or-treating. She was so much more understanding of it than last year, and actually understood and got really into it. We took a break at Chili's for burgers, then went back out in our neighborhood. It was then that we realized our house is like the second worst in the whole neighborhood! Good thing we are only renting.
Back to Halloween, so I wanted Hannah to be more girly this year. Last year she was a bunny and it was a little much. I thought she would make a great Cinderella, but a better Tinkerbell. I was so right, plus, she LOVED putting on make-up like Mommy and wearing the wings, dress and tink shoes.
Claire basically was either going to be a pumpkin or a pea pod. The pea pod was cuter, plus I thought a good scrapbook title would be "Sweet pea" (yes, sometimes my decisions are based upon pictures and scrapbooking...sue me!). Then when I would tell everyone their costume, it was fun to say that Claire would be "peas". So, good choice there too.
It was also actually kind of nice to do a holiday with just us for once. It is usually all about doing the family thing. I love that, but it was also nice to have our own thing going on. I am sure John would say the same. It was nice to not have to travel for a holiday. I think we would do the same thing again... meaning downtown Paso... maybe even go right at 4:00 when it starts.
